2007 HOMECOMING With the Hoosiers doing so much better at football this season, we decided to move the location of our traditional tailgate closer to the stadium. With DJ Sirota providing us his parking space in the Varsity Club parking area, we were just outside the main entrance to the alumni side of the stadium. Tom Knox AI’77 once again handled the food and started a new tradition with fresh biscuits and hot applesauce. It was a real hit!!! The Hoosiers put on a gallant effort, but just fell short of beating the Penn State Nitiny Lions on their final drive. The team hopes to be Bowl bound by the end of the season and judging from the way they have played so far this season, they should be!! Several alumni also took advantage of their day in Bloomington to visit the Chapter House and we trust they enjoyed them. A partial list of alumni who attended the festivities were: Larry Johnson, Chuck Taylor, Dr. Charlie Rinehart, Tom Boone, Mike Shelby, Rob Fitting, Warren Hoffman, Rob “Wally” Romine, Spencer Romine, Jeff Dixon, Bill Jonas, Dick Tetrick, Mike Powell, Kevin McIntosh, Matt Tetrick, John Etchison, Rich Francisco, Ted Simmons, DJ Sirota, Tom Knox, Shawn Mulholland, and Greg Imboden. These Brothers along with the undergraduates who joined in represented 6 decades of Alpha Iotas. Several other Brothers were at the game, but had trouble finding the tailgate. Next year we plan to do the same thing in the same area and we intend to have a tall flag to help people find us. Here are some pictures of this year’s event:
