Theta Chi Golf 2008 The eleventh annual golf outing was held Saturday, August 2nd at the Golf Club of Indiana in Zionsville. Once again we has a great turnout with over 70 Brothers participating. The weather was gorgeous and the course was in excellent condition. Once again we had Brothers from the last six decades “scrambling” for the right to wear the “honored sport jackets”. First we would like to recognize Dave Himebrook, Bob Thorgren, Steve Walker, Jeff Townsend, and Steve Townsend for sponsoring the beverage carts and the driving range. We also want to thank all those who donated prizes to the raffle. These contributions, along with the proceeds from the traditional Raffle and sale of Mulligans generated more than $2,400 in proceeds, which was donated to the Alpha Iota Educational Foundation. Including this years total, the golf outing has now generated more than $10,000 in donations to our Foundation, which in turn provides scholarships for Alpha Iota undergraduates. First place went to Jeff Dixon, Bill “Satch: Sanders, Rob Fitting and Warren Hoffman. Despite the roars of misbehavior, it was noted that this was the 5th time this team went home with the trophy and the crowd howled even more! Second place went to Dave Amick, Dave Luster, Dean Teagno, and Bruce Williams. Third place went to Matt McGrath, Kevin Mullholland, Chris Jagoditz, and Jason Anderson. Longest putt went to Frederick Freeman, closest to the pin went to Greg Evans, and longest drive went to Arthur Chase. Marq Bresnan came all the way from Savannah, Georgia for the second year in a row for man miles. Special thanks to Harry Fox for his great job as event Chairman in organizing and running the event!!!!
