Theta Chi Golf 2007 The tenth annual golf outing was held Saturday, July 28, 2007 at the Golf Club of Indiana in Zionsville. Once again we has a great turnout with over 70 Brothers participating. The weather was gorgeous and the course was in excellent condition. Once again we had Brothers from the last six decades “scrambling” for the right to wear the “honored sport jackets”. First we would like to recognize Steve Walker, Bruce Blue, & Steve Green for sponsoring the beverage carts and the driving range. Their contributions along with the proceeds from the traditional Raffle and sale of Mulligans generated $1,600 in proceeds, which was donated to the Alpha Iota Educational Foundation. Including this years total, the golf outing has now generated more than $8,500 in donations to our Foundation, which in turn provides scholarships for Alpha Iota undergraduates. There were several golf awards also. Matt Paine sank the longest putt. Matt Mcgrath crushed the longest drive. Charlie Bogusz got the closest to the pin, along with sharing the Man Miles award with Al Proctor for traveling all the way from southern California to play. Third place in the foursome competition went to Jason Anderson, Mark Springer, Matt McGrath, & Kevin Mulholland. Second place went to Marq Bresnan, Mark Fox, Brian Kearnaghan, & Scott Weghorst. First place went to Tom Bertellotti, Carl Anfenson, Mike Powell, & John Scott. John did not miss a putt all day! The day was also successful for the Capital Campaign as several alumni made their pledges, which totaled more than $10,000. Special thanks to Harry Fox for his great job as event Chairman in organizing and running the event!!!!
