A Hard-fought Win for IU at 2005 Basketball Outing

Looking for revenge from last year's game, the Hoosiers fought hard through a poor shooting afternoon to overcome the Boilers 55-52 in a double overtime thriller. Led by Kay Sandifer, the Theta Chi group was so thrilled with the win that they stood up and sang the IU fight song.

After the game was over, Kevin McIntosh, AI '80, reported on the activities of the alumni advisory board working to reestablish the chapter. Kevin is serving as chairman of the group and reviewed the plans for this semester's recruiting activities. He also invited all alumni to attend a luncheon at the Union on February 26th to welcome the new undergraduates recruits. You can contact Kevin at mcintosh@painenterprises.com for details on the event. Warren Hoffman, AI '76 gave an update on the Campaign for Alpha Iota.

We were at a new venue this year, the Fox and Hound at 4901 East 82nd Street, Indianapolis 46205. It proved to be ideal for the event and the food was excellent. Brothers Jim Sandifer and Tom Ferverda were thanked for organizing the event and they were encouraged to have it again next year at the same place.
